Hi, I’m Danielle; wife, mom of two, and the owner and designer behind Revitalized Interiors.
Creativity has always been a big part of my life, and I definitely inherited that from my dad. He was an incredibly talented artist, and while he never pursued it professionally, he passed that love of art on to me and spent a lot of time teaching me along the way. Growing up, my mom worked for the airlines, which gave me the opportunity to travel to places like Paris, Italy, Spain, England, and other places around the world. I loved seeing how different places looked and felt, and I think that’s where my appreciation for architecture, beautiful spaces, and different styles really began. I was always drawn to art. I spent summers taking classes at FIT and explored everything from sketching and photography to fashion, multimedia, and graphic design. I didn’t necessarily know where any of it would lead at the time, I just knew I loved being creative.
My career took a few turns along the way. I earned a degree in Communications and went on to work for MTV, ABC, and Sony Pictures before eventually finding my way into real estate, which became another passion of mine. Even though those chapters may seem unrelated, there was always a creative thread running through them, an appreciation for composition, visual storytelling, beautiful spaces, and the way our surroundings can make us feel. Not long after my husband and I were married, we designed and built our first home here in Madison. Then came the wonderfully crazy years of raising our two children, while I continued finding creative outlets through photography and art.
In 2020, we took on another dream and built a modern log cabin from the ground up. Designing that home reminded me just how much I loved the entire process, thinking through how a space would function, choosing materials and finishes, and creating something that felt personal to the way my family lives.
Shortly after our home was completed, I decided to go back to school for design, gained more hands-on experience, and eventually started Revitalized Interiors, LLC. This blog is a place for me to share a little more of that story, the projects I’m working on, design ideas and inspiration, favorite finds, lessons I’ve learned along the way, and probably a little everyday life too.
